Huntlee Healthcare: Quality Care Close to Your Home Located in the heart of Huntlee, our dedicated team of independent doctors provides accessible, high-quality healthcare to the local community. We offer a wide range of medical services tailored to meet your needs, ensuring a compassionate and patient-centred approach.
We are a network of independently owned, non-corporate, and doctor-friendly family medical practices operating across the Hunter Valley under the Healthcare Evolutions Medical Group. Founded by Dr Khan in 2014, our journey began in Clarence Town an area that previously had no established GP services. Since then, we have steadily expanded our patient-centred care model throughout the region.
Our focus is on delivering care aligned with high standards, accessibility, and compassion, tailored to the needs of local communities, particularly in rural and semi-rural areas. We support independent practitioners, foster long-term patient-doctor relationships, and prioritise continuity of care without corporate interference.
Dr Khan is the founder of Healthcare Evolutions Medical Group and a long-standing advocate for accessible and community-focused rural healthcare.
After immigrating to Australia over two decades ago, Dr Khan began his medical journey across Tasmania, Gosford Hospital, and John Hunter Hospital. His dedication to underserved communities eventually brought him to the Stroud and Gloucester regions, where he spent several years delivering essential healthcare services to rural populations.
Driven by a deep commitment to patient care, Dr Khan established his first practice in Clarence Town in 2014 – an area with limited access to local general practice services. From that foundation, he has gradually expanded a non-corporate, patient-first model of care across the Hunter Valley, providing locally led medical services.
Dr Khan holds multiple fellowships in General Practice, Pain Management, and Aesthetic Medicine, and is widely recognised for his leadership in medical education. Over the years, he has supervised numerous registrars and junior doctors, many of whom have successfully gained their RACGP fellowship under his mentorship.
A strong believer in innovation, Dr Khan is committed to integrating technology into healthcare to close the gap between urban and rural services. His vision includes the use of telehealth, AI-supported practice systems, and modern service delivery models to support more equitable access to care for Australians, regardless of location.
In 2025, Dr Khan was selected for the prestigious RACGP Future Leaders Program, acknowledging his contribution to primary care and community health leadership. He is a passionate voice in national and regional forums, speaking out on matters that impact both patients and the medical workforce.
Beyond his medical role, Dr Khan is a proud father of three young daughters, an enthusiastic mountaineer, and a marathon runner.
